In high risk, conflict regions, it can be challenging to verify what’s happening on the ground. Information online may not be up-to-date and communicating with locals can be time-consuming and unreliable.
Given the turmoil in Yemen, Findyr was engaged to verify the operation and conditions of universities in Sana’a, Yemen’s largest city. Our client needed to get current photographs of the universities and other data that could not be found without having someone physically at the location.
Through Findyr’s network of data collectors on the ground in Yemen, Findyr was able to quickly and cost-effectively acquire the sought after data. We tasked our local network of collectors through the Findyr app to complete the requests for information. Local collectors familiar with the area mobilized and gained access to the universities to collect data that included:
- Photo verification of the university conditions
- Contact information
- Internet Availability and Page Load Times
- Student opinions
