Engineering

Senior Developer

Location: Herndon, VA

As part of the team, you will work with other engineers to build features to support our enterprise clients and data collector network, while concurrently rebuilding our system using a modular, microservice architecture to prepare for our next phase of growth.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent experience
  • 5-10 years of software-related work experience
  • Experience maintaining client-server or web applications
  • Experience creating iOS applications in Objective C
  • Significant experience in another strongly-typed language (Java, C#, C++, etc.)
  • Understanding of good enterprise system design patterns
  • Basic knowledge of Linux system and server administration
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Familiarity with code reviews as a manager/approver
  • Comfort working within a sprint-based development process

Backend Developer

Location: Herndon, VA

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with API design patterns and microservice architectures

Engineering Intern

Location: New York, NY

As an Engineering Intern, you will work with members of our Engineering and Community teams to identify new features, troubleshoot incidents reported in the field, and ensure new app releases meet our quality standards. You will also help build tailored solutions to conduct market research and other data collection tasks.

Qualifications
  • Current student or recent graduate pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Familiarity with the technical operation of mobile devices and apps (Android and/or iOS)
  • Strong critical analysis skills and attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of web applications and web interfaces
  • Experience writing programs in JavaScript, Java, Objective C, or Swift

Community

Community Manager

Location: Herndon, VA

This is an opportunity to join Findyr’s Community Management Team. We are looking for a hard working, creative, data-driven, and outgoing individuals to fill a cross-functional role in areas across community, technology, and operations. This role will be instrumental in activating a community of Findyrs around the world and managing our data collection projects. Experience at a crowdsourcing or on-demand company strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Community Management

  • Design and implement data collection projects that may include economic indicators, market research, surveys and due diligence
  • Recruit and engage users to collect data
  • Quality control data
  • Create project reports for clients
  • User Support

Growth

  • Assist team in developing and managing digital marketing campaigns
  • Measure, optimize and report growth efforts and success to the team
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, Economics, International Relations or related fields
  • Experience at a crowdsourcing or on-demand company strongly preferred
  • Experience and interest in international markets, especially experience living or working abroad
  • 1 year of work experience or similar internship experience
  • Experience developing marketing content and managing social media platforms
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with hands on experience in MS Excel

Community Management Intern

Location: New York, NY

Findyr is a crowd-sourced data collection platform. We’re an investor-backed tech startup in the heart of Silicon Alley, and we’re seeking interns to support our Community Management Team. Our clients span across Media, Advertising, Market Research and Economic Data. They task Findyr users across the globe to collect data, take photos and videos, perform surveys and more through our app.

You will work closely with the Community Management Team in the following areas:

  • Research
  • Social Media
  • Communications
  • Any other tasks that might arise at a startup
